a bench grinder and a blade balance are all you need.

Use a steel file to make a sharp edge.
When sharpening mine I take the blade off from underneath, clean it up and file it. My yard looks sharp.

U can use a steel file but it takes awhile i'd get a bench grinder and a balancer.

Unless you have a bench grinder, don't bother. Just buy a new blade, they're not expensive.
