Poor you, you must be in bits.
I do belive in ghost but ive never seen one. I'm sure when your feeling down or upset your mother is there with her arm round you, trying to make the pain of losing her more bareable.

I'm going to start by saying that I am so sorry for your loss. Your mum's gone, and even if she did return as a ghost, would you want her to remain here, stuck in this world, unable to communicate with you, only able to watch you grow old and weak yourself?
Best, in this case, to let her go, and to cherish the only real part of you that will live in you the rest of your life. All of the love and the memories of her that made you what you are.
Whether I believe in ghosts or not, there are many who have a remarkable track record at sensing the presence of Something, demonstrating a remarkable talent, both in accuracy and in clarity. There's just so much evidence now available that it's very hard to just take the old skool skeptical attitude and dismiss it all as nonsense outright.
I don't know if I've seen a ghost myself. But I believe in the evidence.

Yes and yes.
Not long after I moved into my house I was woken in the middle of the night by a light going through the bedroom. There was a man standing in the corner of the room. He was dressed in grey and had grey hair. A couple of weeks later I was talking to a local who told me there used to be a man who lived and died in my house. He always wore grey and had grey hair. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up.
It's an old house and there have been several strange things happened since.
I don't believe in the afterlife, so can't really explain ghosts. I think we have so much energy when we're living it's just residual energy we call ghosts. But who knows?

I do not believe in ghosts. I do, however, believe in spirits, and yes, they are all around us--good, evil, and indifferent. The spirit of your mother is inside you. It is your memory of her smile, of her touch, and of her voice. It comes to you when you think of of her, and it brings you a sort of peace. The spirit is outside you ,as well, and can come to you in many forms--a breeze or an odd event with almost miraculous outcomes. If, when you remember your mother you are sad, then you are not looking for her in the right places. Start with your heart, but look beyond yourself, as well. I have never seen a ghost, but when I was 10, I saw a horrible, frightening, blood-stopping apparition. When I was 35, I was "saved" from a head on collision by a white car in the distance that I thought was a police car, (I was going75 in a 50). I slammed on my brakes, giving me enough time to swerve out of the way of an oncoming vehicle, that had crossed the line into my lane. I looked up to see if the "police car" was coming, but it wasn't there, and the place, where I believed it was sitting, was a rocky hilltop, with no way to reach the top----- When I stopped, the St. Christopher medal my grandma had given me fell to the floor from the visor-- it was the kind that was pinned on--somehow, the pin opened... Yes, I believe they are there with us all the time.

Yes, I do believe in ghosts and I have encountered them. They are earthbound spirits. There is always a reason why these spirits haven't moved on. My people believe that mostly spirits are good to encounter because they give the people left behind a sense of peace, a sense that they haven't just ceased to exist.
If you focus consciously on yourself, you will notice that you are not your body but something behind the machine that cloaks you. What you saw as a young child is did happen. It was your father's way of letting you know that your brother was safe in his keeping and that you shouldn't worry about him. That you would see them both one day. My deepest condolences for your loss. I hope the articles and resource books below help you find what you are looking for.
Good Luck!

I saw something unexplanable once, this is a copy of my discription at another board:
My family once lived in this apartment complex that was suppose to have been built over an old farm graveyard. Part of the orchard was still there and all the kids use to eat the fruit when it got ripe. Anyway, one night my mother was looking out of the window, and asked us to look out because she wanted us to see something. I went, and looked out, and I noticed that one of our neighbors had left laundry on the lines, and it was a windy night. Out from behind the clothes, a woman walked. She wore clothing that looked like something like pilgrims wore and around her hair, she wore a scarf. She was really pretty, but I knew she wasnt "living",because she was completly "white", and" glowing...and she had no eyes...just black holes . She stood still and looked across where we were looking out of the window, and she slowly lifted her right arm up and pointed in our direction. The wind changed, and she vanished.I thought it was an"omen" for my mother who was ill at the time. Next day though, there were police next door, and we found out that"Sissy" had died. She had got into a fight with her boyfriend, and he and her sons left her alone, thinking to let her"sleep it off" but when they checked her after a few days, they found her dead .

ive never seen a ghost, but yeah maybe they do exist. i mean, they only come to people who they are closest too, or if your very sensative and have the 6th sense. my cousin had a friend who would see them most of the time, he would see ghosts even if it is not his relative, just random walking out in the streets. i guess some people are blessed with this gift and others see it as a curse.

hmmm .. man.. That's terrible.. but there will be greater things after life, all the good in life will be in the after life, i guess you could call it. But the good will be a million times better. You should believe in such things, but only good things, nothing scary like gosts. It's good for you if you have lived through some bad situations to think about nice things
gosts .. I don't believe in them, I never saw one

yes and yes. when i was younger i saw them all the time in my old house.. since then i have seen a few but not like it was in that house. all it was was a dark shaddow of a human figure most of the time.. but once i saw one in my little brothers form.. weird i know but it looked just like my little brother in roller blades, i told it to come look at some burnt tost my mom had burnt and it did come look over my sholder then i turned around and it was gone and a few mins later my brother came in with no rollerblades on and i asked him why he just left when i was talking to him and he said he was never talking to me and he was just playing bball and i asked him if he had roller blades on and he said no. lol so i think they can take form of other people as weird as that sounds. also i have seen them as differant colors. once in that house i was talking about, i was going pee and the light in the bathroom shattered and a bunch of differant colored ghosts came flying out in all directions and i screamed to he top of my lungs and my mom came running becasue she heard the shatter but when she came in the light was off and she turned it on and it was back to normal, and i was just sitting there, i told her what happened and she beleive me because she heard it break, also my whole family already knew what was up with that house. I know I'm not crazy because even my parents saw things in that house, and i was only like 8, I'm 18 right now and I still remember like it was yesterday.
