If the whites do better, then it is racially biased. If the blacks do better, then whites are stupid.
That is the anti-white mentality. And that statement isn't racist, it's the truth.

It's not that SATs themselves are biased, but the argument I've heard ( I don't argue this, I've just read about it ) is that African-Americans are apt to learn less of the SAT materials in schools than whites or other ethnicities.
For example, though it's not supposed to happen, there may be a majority of African-Americans in poor school districts because they live in a poor area. Those schools will teach less SAT material than the rich white neighborhood schools, since they offer less advanced classes in the poor school districts.
The SATs are made regarding advanced classes, it takes no regard for people in districts who may have not had a chance to learn this, have nowhere to go for tutoring, and may not be able to afford the SAT books.
The thing about kids from Korea or Sweden that don't speak English as a first language though, I have to disagree with. "English as a second language" (ESL) makes most people think of broken grammar, incomplete sentences, people fresh off the boat from Ellis Island. But did you know? English is my second language as well. It just means that English was learned after the mother tongue, it doesn't mean they don't speak English well.
Anyway, hope that helps~!

i think that the biased argument represents a much bigger argument which is the educational system is biased. not so much against black people but poor people.
schools that are in low income areas, overall, have lower test scores. and yes, many of the students who graduate from these schools have trouble doing simple math or reading.
it is sad but is just an extention of the real problem. education should be a level playing field...so that no matter who you are, what race you are, how much money you have, you can walk away from an american school and rank amongst the best in the world.
the reason why people from other countries can score higher is a result of their educational system. their curriculums are tougher, standards are higher, and there is much less room to allow students to fall between the cracks.
a few years ago, america was known for its education and was ranked as one of the best. now, america has dropped to number 24 in the world for its education...

Did you read this from a credible sourse because i think a machine scores the tests. I doubt the SAT organization is biased. Colleges are.

I agree... I've always wondered how SAT questions could be culturally biased. I don't remember any questions about Polo Ponies or which cufflinks to wear. Can anybody supply us with an actual question which fits this description?

I don't like the essay part because you can't say what you mean on it. That happen to my white brother. On IQ test by the state he was near genius. According to the SAT my brother was below retarded. He is white.
