I guess David Beckham will be picked if he is match fit but his place in the team is no longer assured. He retired the captaincy but not from playing, personally i don't think he is the best player England have in his position but his place was always certain under Ericksson hopefully the new manager will give someone else a try because Beckham is no longer invincible

Yes, England does not have a chance without him Ashley Cole,Wayne Rooney,or Frank Lampard, the 2010 World Cup he will not play, but Becks will remain with the team through 2008.
