im going to answer this,,but get ready,,because i own a body shop,,its going to be a big list,,,first off you will need a good building to work in,,you will need a porta-power,,a good set of paint guns,,a stud welder gun,,with accessories,a complete dent pulling system,a mig welder,,a spot panel welder,a good set of torch,s,a real good supply of body hammers,, with the right body dollys,,a portable frame machine,,a complete line of air sanders,hand sanders,,small trim paint guns,,a good vent system in your building that meets the codes,,for you countryalso you will need at least two helpers,,to start with,,a really good set of mechanics tools,,there are specialty tools also involved such as a door holder,,and remover,,a good parts supplier that has access to all the body panels you will need,,also at least 4 good floor jacks,,along with an assortment of bottle jacks,,a glass removal tool,,a good set of jack stands,and a good room just to paint in,,seperate from where you do all your body work,,also a set of air chissels,,along with a portable flanger,,a trim gun,,a heat gun,,and a tie down system,,usually built in to the floor of your building,,with anchors,,and the ability to deal with people,,andto be able to work with insurance companies,,this is a small list,,this will get you started,,and thats about it,you will need a whole lot more than i have time to list here,,body shops have more invested in tools than people think,,thats why body work is so expensive,,i hope this gives you an idea of some of what you are going to need,,good luck,,you can make a good living doing it,,if you decide to do so.
