It depends on how well you apply it. Remember - less is more. If it's done right - it will make you look younger. If you slather it on with a paint brush you'll look much older than you really are.
It depends on what you're after. If you're 16 - lay it on a little more thickly. Also, if it's in the evening, you want more so it will show a little. Get one of those light up make-up mirrors that change the light to suit the situation you'll be in.
I hardly wear any. A little mascara, blush in the Winter. But I have very good skin and am lucky for it. If I'm going out in the evening, I'll add mascara and lipstick. (I'm 48)
Still - LESS IS MORE!!!

I guess for the younger teenager like 13 thru 20 it makes them look more aged. More like adding 3 or 4 years on them. But for the older people it makes them look younger. It adds youth to them.

It depends on the person and how the make up is applied.
Sometimes an individual applies make up to look older and other times a person might utilize the goo to appear slightly younger.
And then of course there are those that just utilize the fun stuff to accentuate and bring out their natural beauty.
It's all in the face and the formula on which it is applied.

It depends on how you put it on. Sometimes it can make you look older if you put in on wrong or if you are too young to be wearing it or too old to be wearing it. But the right amount of makeup put on in the right way can definitely make you look younger.

Makeup is just make up, but it really does depends on how its applied, and how heavy the makeup is. For example, some eye shadow, blush and lip gloss only brings out the natural beauty. But heavy mascara and eyeliner with lots of foundation or face powder will make a 17 yr old look much older. So it relies on you and how you wear your make up

Depend how you apply it and what look that you are trying to achieve--now make up on a 12 or 13 year old girl just looks like make up on a 12 or 13 year old girl

It all depends on the application. It also depends on the look you are going for. Applied correctly it doesn't make you look older or younger it just enhances your natural beauty.

If skillfully applied, it can do many things.
Too much on anyone is yucky, it can make a young person look like a tramp and an old woman look like a worn out tramp, or they can both like like clowns.
Make up, applied well, is always an improvement, for daytime, just remember, less is more. Save the glamor and mystery for night . Remember to emphasize your best features. That way you'll always look your loveliest .

I think that makeup makes us look older. More especially foundation makeup it brings out every wrinkle. I'm 34 and stopped wearing foundation 3 years ago. I just dust my face with loose powder now. The rest of makeup I don't think is so bad. I don't really wear a lot of it though. lol

I personally believe that when you're young it makes you look older but when you're old it makes you look younger (depending on how it's applied of course).
