The correct answer was to run it again. I will put this to a vote. You are all morons, except the Nympho with a boyfriend. Sounds like a contradiction to me?

It really depends upon the marathon course. Mostly marathoners do more of a cool down run than a "victory lap." They keep running or walking until their heart rate returns closer to normal.

I think that the winner deserve this lap because it's a real heroism to run this 42 km.

if it finishes on the track as in the Olympics you run one lap around the track, if it finishes on a street, run up and down about 50-80mteres the street lined with spectators by the finish line.
