Israel as a nation accepts its borders, in fact, in 1948 when Israel became a nation, it would have accepted any borders and any land that would mean that it could become a nation even if it would have meant land on antarctica, however, due to the graceousness of the europeans and the leaders of the United States, the victors of WWII came up with a plan. Britain in post WWII posessed a chunk of land they called palestine, which was not a soverign nation but instead a brittish controlled land ruled and governed in Britain. Britain gave half of this land to Jewish Holocaust survivors and the other half was left to become a muslim state called Palestine. One problem, Muslims and Jews do not have a stable relationship due to Islamo-facism and Zionist-Extremists who both believe all of the land is theirs, and because of this the non-radical muslims and jews have to live in constant war, not with themselves, but between them and radicals from both sides. This would be like if two towns in new hampshire and vernmont went to war with just eachother. It would not be an all out mutual hatred for eachother between the states, but rather a group of fanatics going to war with one another. As for 1967 borders, if you are referring to pre and post war borders, israel accepted both, but when it's neighbor's armies began to amass invasion size forces on the israelli border israel attacked with pre-emptive force much like the US would if mexico and canada put their entire armies on the american borders. If mexico and canada did that would you feel safe in the US if the government ignored the issue? No, you would want the government to secure the safety of the borders, just as Israel did in the 1967 six day war, when israel took significant ammounts of land to swiftly punish those who threatened it's security. Israel took the Sinai penninsula and returned it, took gaza and returned it, took southern lebanon and when the UN said give it back and we will have lebanon disarm hizballah (resolution 1559) israel returned the land, israel took the west bank area ("palestine") and has turned it over to the palestinian authority. Israel took parts of Jordan on the east side of the Jordan River and returned the land. In fact, the only thing that Israel has not returned is the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, and a few Jewish cities in the former West Bank Area. Finally, Arab countries continue to fight Israel because it is a nation. If israel was made up of a city on a random insignificant hill, arab nations would still be bent on Israel's destruction. This is not because Israel threatens them, or because the majority of the arab nation's citizens hate them, but rather because the arab nation's leaders hate them and their ideals, (not necesarrily rulers like the president of lebanon, but Nassrallah (hisballah leader) is still a leader, whether legally or not), Israel stands for western Ideals of freedom and democracy, while many arab leaders are tyrants and value control, power, and money. They terrorize their people into service while Israel lets the people rule themselves. It all boils down to the Cold War with Communism vs. Democracy. It will take the arab people's iron will and the fall of the arab nation's governments to settle the world into peace. Russia an China's falls and their turn to democracy put the superpowers at peace and all that remains are a few radicallist, communist, arab leaders and a small democratic nation that hold the world at war. If a war weary arab people will rise up against their fascist leaders, terrorism may never dissapear, but it will be shoved back down the hole it came out of and the world will be a more peaceful place. War is the expression of distaste in differences. Peace is the expression of acceptance, mabye not conversion, but an acceptance of differences and an Ironclad will to respect one another and the differences that make us unique.

Boy that's a good history rewrite.
Israel has expanded its borders only as a defensive action after they have been attacked. The Islamic countries have pledged to push Israel into the sea and kill all of the Jews.
Lets see, what should Israel do? Oh, I know, just set down and let the other mid-east countries kill them, that would solve the problem of that Israel making life miserable for the ones who want to kill them..

Let's say you-n-i share a common father. You choose to have your wife be your 'everything' and I choose to help my wife become 'everything'. We, as brothers and sisters start fighting each other over the Belief, 'how to' do this and that, our marriages amongst the many 'differing' clans causes even more differences in Beliefs...
1900-2006, the most murderous set of cultures this Earth has ever known.... with Human Beings being around.
the Muslim countries took it upon themselves to add more Youth than Elders to their populations... in the end, Revolution against whatever the Mosque/Temple says is Next as they can train the Minds of the Youth for this exercise or that...
Hate, like Love can both be taught and learned....
if it's the Hezbollah going against the Judaic Peoples or
the Taliban against the Afghan Peoples....
it's just whoever is Next...
India has the same Population situation, primed for a Revolution or overthrow of the current system... who's to 'stop the violence'...
the people themselves....

Israel took that land in response to being invaded. Besides if they return any land will that stop the terrorism or will they use the new land to launch more attacks. I think that question answered itself thanks to the Palestinians behavior.

they've recently complied with UN resolution 1559 (per kofi annan) with states they must witdraw from lebanon and the west bank, which they've done. yet that seems to have no effect on the war-mongering muslims.
the other main part of 1559 is that hezbollah must be disbanded........that's what happens when you negotiate with terrorists!!!!!!

That is Zionism that you are referring to. Not all Israeli's believe they need to expand their borders, just Zionists.
