Wow. You have a lot of bitterness built up. I think you will find the answer to your question if you do a bit of soul-searching. Yours is one of the harsher opinions I've seen, so you would be the best one to answer it.
As for other people, who knows? People's motivations are a varied and many as the stars.
I, for one, choose to bring a life into this world because I love my husband and myself, and would like to share the love that we possess with children. Who knows? Maybe we'll make the world a bit of a better place in the process.

Well, it has been proven that certain mental disorders run in familes so it would be cruel to bring a child into the world knowing that it may end up with the same problems. I know several people that are bi-polar and have kids and they are all totally unhappy and have a lot of problems. However, if you do not want to bring children into the world you really should consider getting a vasectomy so it doesn't happen again.

Okay I hear your little fit, But what do you expect from women who are pregnant or have kids, You don't seem extremely intellectual to me why didn't you just go to a pro death sight and talk about death all @$#%ing day grow up stop thinking of yourself. Just because your unhappy doesn't mean your baby will be not everyone is financially stable I know I'm not but I make the best of It and I'm thankful for what I have.

So why are you telling us about it, asking for opinions, if you don't like the answers you get? Take it elsewhere.
The question... why are people's opinions so harsh....
The answer.... because we're hiding behind anonymity.
We don't know you. But YOU are hiding, too, with all your name calling and dirty talk.
If you knew somebody personally who knew your whole story, and you talked to them about it, I'm sure their answer would be less harsh. And hopefully, you wouldn't talk back to them the way you are talking to all of us.
I wasn't one of the people who answered your original question, so I don't know how I would have answered it.
Everyone seems to enjoy life but you? That's a very ignorant statement. You obviously enjoy sex, and that's part of life. What a cop-out.
It isn't necessarily about morality. It's about whether or not you or any other human being has the right to decide whether or not another human being has the right to live.
Think of the trade off: you get to keep on enjoying sex without worrying about the consequences in exchange for somebody being denied the right to live. Has nothing to do with religion.
What goes around comes around. You may be very sorry some day for taking the position you have taken.

This sounds like a rant, not a question. When you yourself are so harsh, you just get back what you put out.
You're saying that you would have preferred to be aborted? That's harsh! Why didn't you sterilize yourself BEFORE you started having sex if you really feel so harshly about kids. It seems very hypocritical of you.
Why raise children? Because ONLY the children can offer a solution for the future, because they are the only ones who are in charge of the future. You're certainly not going to be around in 100 years.

Wow ok, people's opinions on here can be a bit harsh because they are pretty much anonymous and feel free to say what's on their minds. As for getting your gf pregnant, nothing you can do about that except sit with her and make a decision that you BOTH can live with. Sadly it's not just you in the situation, she has to be able to live with the decision that is made. People can say what they want but you and your gf are the ones that have to make the decision.

The people who answer the questions rudely or righteously are hiding behind their anomyinity.....they can say what ever they want becasue they will never have to deal with the consequences. The people liek that are so pathetic, they have no problem giving out their opinions on a cheesy Q&A forum but in real life they are probably afraid to say boo. All of these people would never say those things to your face so dont be offended!

calm....chill. It's ok! Not everyone was 'meant' or want to have kids. That's their choice as it is yours--as it was my decision to have kids (though I wouldn't encourage someone to abort, especially when adoption is my preference) That's the beauty of everything. It's YOUR choice and never let anyone inflict any unwanted idea on you, or call you horrible because of what you believe. If you are comfortable with your decision, more power to you! PS--I hate bible thumpers too--drive me nuts with their holier than thou attitude! Be well!

In answer to your original question - people are harsh because in this forum they are anonymous and do not have to answer for their rudeness.
As far as the rest of your rant - I originally thought you were a female who chose abortion, but at the end I realized that you are a male who played, yet does not want to pay. Now - I am pro-choice so don't go off on me, but in reality it is your girlfriends decision as to what to do with her body - not yours.

Your points are very fair. If you don't want to have children, that's up to you.
For anyone else to criticise that decision is just plain wrong.
However, by posting this again you seem to be almost asking for the idiots to come back and attack you. Let them get on with their idiocy and do the best to get on with your own life.
