I have quite a few...

"If you don't like something, change it. If you can't change it, change your attitude." - Maya Angelou
My motto has always been "deal with it." It may not flatter others, but I connect to it.

"For those to whom much is given, much is required." - John F. Kennedy
I feel that more people should understand this. When you are charged with power, you have a responsibility to use that power justly. Though I often don't agree with Bush, I still have to respect him to a degree because he has to deal with so much.

"The mighty oak was once a little nut that stood its ground." - Unknown
It's very inspirational. Everyone feels down at times. It's a matter of being strong, enduring, and persevering.

"If you want to enjoy the rainbow, be prepared to endure the storm." - Warren Wiersbe
This is one of my motivational quotes. I happen to be one of those people who love the end result. I don't like going through the hard work, but I just keep reminding myself that there /will/ be a rainbow at the end of it all.

"The test of courage comes when we are in the minority; the test of tolerance comes when we are in the majority." - Ralph W. Sockman
This appeals to me, because statistically, I'm racially a minority. Also, it reminds me that there are always more than one perspective to things.

Quick, like a bunny!

from Fear and Loathing. That movie is full of great lines, but that one's the best because you can use it in everyday situations and people don't really know where it's from. Plus every time I say it I get that quick mental picture of Benicio Del Toro trying to get off the carousel.
