time passes fast when you are doing a lot of things at the same time and you forget about a lot of things. You only realize that time is going faster than you in your spare moments when you think " what have i accomplished " ? well you should be grateful that your time is going fast... but make sure life doesn't go past you.. take a time and consider your things...don't forget about the important ones FAMILY and FRIENDS ( these involve love and happiness )

It doesn't. Time is a constant. What changes is our perception of time. If we are busy doing thing and don't notice time then time will march on and seem to pass quickly. If we have nothing to do but wait for some event to occur then time seems as if it is slowly dragging along. The reality is that time moves at the same rate in both cases. If it seems like it always moves fast then you probably are a very busy person with a very full life.

Best of Luck

As a child, time passes very slowly in your perception because you have no worries and nothing to occupy your mind except maybe playing. As an adult, the more you have to do and worry about. You realize that time is finite and you only are able to do so much in a 24 hour day, plus work , sleep, and whatever else there is.

I agree with John that time doesn't have to pass so fast. And as far as we are concerned here on earth, it is mostly a matter of perception. However, I disagree with him when he says time is a constant. It isn't. And if you really want to slow time down, just find a way to travel near the speed of light. Of course, that won't really alter your perception of time, but it will cause time to pass more slowly for you in relationship to a stationary observer.

Just remember, we are all time travelers, inching our way (or hurtling our way; depending on your perception) into the future at the rate of one second per second (as long as we stay at our current speed.)

A very interesting question. It is believed by some, that the speed in which time elapses is constant. Time can appear to move faster if you are enjoying yourself, then, all of a sudden you have to leave (Where has all the time gone?). If you are anxiously awaiting the arrival of a package you really want, a person you would like to see, or even arriving at your destination on a road trip, time can appear to move slower (Are we there yet?, This is taking forever!!!, etc.). Ones perception of time can vary depending on the situation. Time, there is so much of it, yet so little.

perception is the key, when you're older it moves much faster. Think of it as a ratio. If you been alive for 5 years, waiting for your birthday will take forever. If you're 75, it seems like you just had a birthday.
1 of 5 is way bigger than 1 of 75

Time actually speeds up as you get older because when you are one year old and turn two you have lived 100% of the time over. But when you are 70 and turn 71 then one year is 1/70th of what you've experienced. Bummer!
