I am breastfeeding my 21 month old, and about 8 months back I had a significant hair loss which I understand was due to hormonal changes. Now my hair is falling out again, very noticeably, almost like I am shedding. Could this be a vitamin deficiency? I don't think it's hypothyroid because I don't gain weight easily, although I do struggle with lack of focus and memory problems. ??

It could just be normal shedding. Remember a good amount of your hair dies and falls out pretty regularly. I wouldn't worry about it unless it goes on for a while. As always, if concerned call your doc.

I'm more youthful than you and I lose hairs like that at all times. Your hair is made of lifeless cells, and the autumn out regularly. Just for the reason that a few fall out day-to-day does not imply you're going bald. So, I could say what you're going via is flawlessly traditional.

The three reasons I'm aware of are stress, thyroid and genetics. See your doctor for an accurate diagnosis. You can do something about the first two. If it's genetic...good luck!
