Black is beautiful. Stop listening to the bull sweetie. Stand in front of a mirror and become mesmerized by that dark skin, full lips, wide nose, big hips and thighs. Realize that you will never have to set food in a cosemtic surgeons office cause you already have what others are looking for. Forget about tanning booths! No lip injections, cheek implants, butt-lifting, nose jobs, fat injecting work needed here THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

It is often said that the victors are the ones who write history. Well what applies to history also applies to our collective sense of what is beautiful or fashionable. The refined noses, slender firm bodies, and ivory skin that you see ubiquitously appearing on all fashion magazines, that informs the population as to what is aesthetically pleasing, are images that are created by the rich and elite. These rich and elite are at the stations in life that they are in because their white ancestry was successful over foreign nonwhite populations; both economically and militarily. Hence, they get to define the standards of what is acceptable and what is not. Naturally, it follows that they will formulate what we consider to be beautiful, after their own image.

I will have to be honest with you. Though I am cognizant of how they shape my opinions, I still can’t help but find white women, and women of Latin descent that conform to the Aryan physical ideal, to be the most attractive. I don’t find black women attractive unless they are mixed and have Caucasian like bodies and facial features (i.e. Halley Berry). That goes to show you the power of the media.

Not all folks think that Black women are less attractive. The Black Woman is beautiful both inside and out, and come in all shades, shapes, and hues. From Mo'Nique to Alek Wek, sistas have been working their magic since the dawn of time. Like I tell my daughters, you're black and beautiful. With that in mind, 'nuff said.

Prozworld is disgusting. But, true enough, the power of the media (and history) is still strong.

Look at the history of black people in America and Europe...most of us are here because of slavery, descendants of people who weren't even legally considered human for quite some time. Attitudes like that are hard to change, apparently they take centuries to change! Why would most people find us attractive, given that point of view? (Of course, there's the notion of "forbidden fruit" and wanting what youcan't have, but that's another story).

Conversely, we as black people want white people soooo bad. Why? Not because they're really more attractive, but they represent something...power, status and heaven knows what else...

Who says black women are not attractive? There are black women came as wolrd beauty queens. Not only physically beauty they are intelligent and smart too..that's why they chooses as beauty queens. I don't see attractive and pretty by their skin color..Its depend on their heart and soul. For my eyes Mother Teresa was most beautiful woman in the earth.

I was honestly SHOCKED to read this! I have no idea the people you know of course, but I for one LOVE black women, full lips, and "thick"! That's the ONLY kind of woman I want, including ALL of my friends! So, don't believe that, cause it's B.S.! Black is beautiful!

I think there is beauty in all races. I've met and seen many drop-dead looking black/carribean/affrican/southamerican beauties from dark brown...to medium complexion, while I have also seen some really not-so-attractive ladies in just about every other race imaginable. Be careful of where you pick up your statistics from, black folks in general are often times dipicted in lower values because of our weak past.

Stop looking for trouble! There are just as many white women who are thought to be less attractive as any other race. It depends on the guy, and what his preferences are, etc......

There are even black guys, who prefer white women! And then there are black women who prefer white guys.
