try hydrogen peroxide.... just pur some on... let it set a few minutes then rinse... if you still see it do it again... then wash as normal but check it before you dry it to make sure it all came out.... if it didnt then do it again and let it set (keep it wet) for an hour or two then wash again... it'll work on blood and lipstick so tobasco sauce should be no problem...
peroxide acts like a bleach so if the shirt is colored dont let it set in peroxide... just a minute or two and rinse so you dont "bleach" the fabric...

There is a product that removes red stains specifically - I don't remember the name of it, but it was made for red wine and I think that's in the title. You can but it at specialty food stores like AJ's or any place with a big wine selection. Walgreen's may have it, too, in the cleaner supply section.
