I know it sounds so stupid but we are trying to get pregnant and I always try to lay down for a while after......but if I stand up after is there still a chance? If not how long should I lay there? Also will sperm still be able to swim if you are not wet? A friend told me that the sperm wont travel if I am not wet because it needs the moisture to make its way down (or is it up)lol anyways is this true? thanks

If you want to conceive then try laying down with your hips elevated for about forty five minutes after having sex. You can get pregnant if you stand up after also, but it is a better chance if you elevate your hips because more of the sperm stays inside of you and has a better chance of reaching its destination. There has also been some research done that suggests that there is a better chance if the woman orgasms because that causes small contractions that helps to move the sperm up into the Fallopian tubes

Yes it is stupid indeed.
I think u can try standing on ur head after sex to help the poor sperm with the gravity.
I think if there is too much moisture the sperm tend to slip rather than move. Ever imagined walking on a slimy surface. lol

the standing up thing is just a myth...and the liquid around the sperm is what helps the sperm swim, not you being wet.....good luck!

While the male fills your body with his semen in a horizontal position, there is a little sensor type thing inside the women's vagina that dips into the pool of semen. Kind of like a record player needle when you put it on the record. it takes up some of the semen and that helps your odds of getting pregnant. So in plain english, staying in a laying position is best.

it only takes seconds for the sperms to go where they need to if you was in the right position when he let lose, then your fine but i don't think by you getting up will hurt anything, as for as you being dry you will know if you was really dry because it will hurt like hell! so you didn't complain about it hurting so you are fine, as long as your mucus wasn't thick then you would probably get pregnant! good luck

Hundreds of little sperms go traveling to implant themselves in your uterus at the time of ejaculation. No; standing up will not stop theses fellows.

Not all the sperm leaks out so it is possible to become pregnant.

you can get pregnant as long as sperm make it inside...and your both fertile i dont think standing or laying or sitting matters really

yes you can still get pregnant but if you really want to get PG don't stand up for at least 20 minuts! :)
