Anyone know why it was called "bubble gum" and can you give some examples?

It was a pop style of music in the late sixties. A band by the name of the "1910 fruit gum company" was a popular band that played that style of music.

Don't know don't care. Bubble gum is terrible. So anything that references it must also be terrible.

It use to be a hip way of saying pop music. Also called popcorn. The music that pop stations rotate. Britney Spears, Nsync, Jessica Simpson, etc.
