A friend of mine is half oriental asian and half caucasian. Everytime a girl shows interest in him and he tells her hes half asian, they seem very turned off.

Do oriental asian men have a disadvantage with women? Why is it that in multi racial couples, its usually a white caucasian male with a asian female but never vice versa? I kinda pity him now that he often denies hes half asian just to avoid telling girls the truth

I am half italian/irish btw.

There are so many different types of people. Maybe some people are turned off by a half asian male but there are just as many that are turned on by them too if you think about it! I am a half irish half italian female and I personally am not interested in dating a man who is any part asian...or black. It is not because I am a bad person it is my preference! The same way that a man may prefer a certain type of woman (big boobs or blonde for example) It is not always about race I think it is mainly just preference.

depends on the girl, of course, and probably her family, as well. That said, east Asian (Oriental) men have an undeserved reputation for being s*xless, and, therefore, undesirable. This prejudice is stupid and silly, as is all racial/ethnic stereotyping, but as one who has been there (I'm half Indian/half French), you can never feel good inside yourself if you deny who and what you are. Tell your friend to hang in there. Does he really want to be involved with someone who will only be with him if she thinks he's something he's not? What if the relationship gets serious? Eventually she'll have to know, and then she'll feel lied to and misled, and probably have trouble trusting him. All in all, it's better , in the long run, to be honest, although, in the short run, it may be less lonely and more fun.

No I see plenty of asian men with non asian women. It helps to live in a diverse city.

Just like any other dating scenario, some will some wont.

Asian women are golddiggers and look for a rich white trophy husband. Also, their parents tell them to marry rich.

Asian parents want their sons to marry an asian. Thats just the way it is.

Women love people like keanu reeves, mike shinoda(linkin park) who are half asian.half caucasion.

Males seem to have a need to spread their seed into a variety of gene pool gardens. By the same token, these same men don't want the gardens that they have seeded to be invaded by competing varietals. Since men still rule the roost, they are more successful at inhibiting the spread of others' seed than the women are at encouraging it. In other words the women know that if they mix with other races, they risk ostracism more than the men do for the same sort of behavior.

Italian Irish?? Hot!! He he, No it's really not for me, I know many people of many different races, but..not to be rude, there is a perception that Oriental men are....not so well equipped, you know?? So that could be it, but it really doesn't matter to some people, I actually have a friend who's American, a mutt, and she is very attracted to Asian guys, so it just depends.....

Asian women not only like do date outside of their race but they will purposefully make up imaginary bad things to say about asian men whom they never met before. It's a ticket for them to be accepted into american society.

I do not consider race a factor, but my family does!

When I was young, my grandfather would take me out for lunch/dinner. It was so embarrassing when he'd see an interracial couple, and he would say loud enough for everyone to hear "You know, blacks should stick to their own kind."
Papa believed that the children of an interracial marriage would have it harder than a white or a black child because they won't know with which race to identify. Perhaps that's why women are turned off; I don't know.

I think it kinda depends on how the girl was brought up... what her family's thoughts are. If she comes from a family that thinks racial slurs are okay... she might be turned off. I don't have any problems dating someone who is not caucasian... and as far as race goes... we are all the same... human race.

I think some women don't like men of other races, and vice versa. For example, I am just not attracted that much to black women. It isn't a racial thing, I just don't find them attractive. I don't judge them on it, I just don't ask them out.
