There are usually classes at the college or university. Also check the community education classes. You can probably get a list from the library.

I think it is really sweet that you even care. And if she does like to dance, yes it is important that you learn how to dance and learn to like it too. I would suggest dancing classes that you could go to together. It would be something fun you could do with her and learn how to dance at the same time. If you dont want to go to classes, then you are just going to have to get out there and practice.....with her, in front of the mirror, whatever. Just remember that it is suppose to be fun. And really, most people arent perfect dancers. =)

Yeah, hip hop is possibly your perfect wager. in simple terms attempt to bear in mind that breaking out right into a gaggle of hip hop strikes interior the direction of the college dance will nonetheless look sorta unusual. college dances are no longer in basic terms like the videos. human beings do no longer all of sudden have dance battles. although, training provides you with some self belief. I actual have an identical situation. i've got been dancing (ballet and jazz/hip hop) for 13 years, even though it is so no longer situation-free to place your self available in the time of a dance. there's no longer something incorrect with being "conservative". actual, it may be effective to no longer see a lot grinding at dances. this is incredibly especially much disgusting to observe extreme schoolers especially much having intercourse in school.

you could take lessons, you could practice from videos to find your groove, or just ask her to coach you! i coach my boyfriend at times and it's a plus for quality time. =))
tell her you wanna improve so she can have more fun with you when dancing.
another thing is, relax and let the music take you.
there are lots of tips online and basic groove videos.
go to youtube.com and search for dances like hiphop, rnb, and techniques of salsa (a very good thing to learn).
with enough dedication you'll be swinging in no time! =D

Sounds a little old fashioned, but Dancing Lessons. It will help you move your body more fluidly and help you grab on to the beat of the song.
