Personally, I'll never live to see the person who can pull a rabbit out of their hat with long distance, short time together relationships. You did do the right thing because it's a waste of both of your times being 'faithful' absent-mindedly (if that's a word). There you are thinking about all the fun summer could be but you're trying to stay down for someone who's never around. That-to me- is pretty harsh on yourself.

Hard to say, you don't tell us why you hadn't seen each other for 2 months. A lot depends on that. But, if you chose to do that, it probably was the right thing.
