I'm going to the hospital to see her. What is a good hospital gift to give her ?? Not for the baby... for her.

Thanks all so much for your suggestions! The baby is alive and well! 5 lbs. 11 oz. and I got to hold her! She's BEAUTIFUL. I had already spent alot of money on baby gifts so I took a gift to mommy after her labor. The bag included a Parenting magazine, People magazine, bag of chocolates, chex mix, lip balm, hand sanitizer, and calming body lotion. She LOVED it. Thank you for all of your help!

Things she can pamper herself with after 9 months of being pregnant. Chocolates, gift cards to a salon or favorite clothes store or whatever her favorite thing is. Another good idea is also to get her maybe a book, like about what to expect in the first year, etc. Congratulations to your friend!

Food and lots of it. Hospital food sucks and its never enough for some one who hasn't eaten in a day or so. Plus giving birth/nursing takes lots of energy. When she gets home from the hospital give her food that can be frozen and then also something calming like tea, lotion or music.

I would get her a gift certificate from some different restaurants for when she gets home and a nice, comfy nursing gown. It makes it easier for a new mom than trying to figure out how to move your clothes and stuff. I pretty much wore mine out!

Flowers or a gift basket of things to pamper herself - like a bath set or spa set and some champagne.

Gift certificate so that she can have carry out meals or a cleaning service when she gets home.
Or bring her a good meal TONIGHT instead of the nasty hospital food!

I would buy her some crossword puzzles, magazines a deck of cards or something that she can do. It gets boring staying overnight in the hospital.

New moms need some pampering. Buy her something like bubble bath, lotions, and such. Being a new mom can be stressful and mom's tend to forget about taking care of themselves.

Chocolate, Bubble Bath, and homemade baby sitting gift certificates - people love those even if they don't use them it lets them know you might be willing to watch their baby if they need a break

did you get any thing for the baby. im sorry but if i was your friend i wouldnt want any thing for me i would want diapers or formula or wipes and clothes. because my baby would be more importanat to me then me. im not trying to be rude thats just me but here are a couple things you might try. get her a digital camera that would be a good gift for her. or get her a back massager or something like that. well good luck.
