No, it is more important that they stay with the one who wants to be a parent. If both stay involved, you may consult the children, but it is more important that they are in a loving enviroment.

I come from a divorced home. I can tell you honestly that the only thing that matters is that BOTH parents maintain an active role. Children need male and female parental influences aside from whether they live with one, the other, or both. With out YIN and YANG, you don't have balance.

I agree with about everyone else. Just as long as both parents stay involved, and you encourage the child or children to see both parents, then it does not matter who they live with.
