Well its happened once before that pictures taken by Lebanese photographers are doctoring the pictures, so........The Reuters news agency admitted Sunday that it had published a doctored photograph of Beirut after an Israel Air Force strike on Saturday morning.
In the original image, thin smoke can be seen rising over the Lebanese capital, but in the second photograph, thick, black smoke can be seen billowing over the buildings.
Reuters said that it has dropped Adnan Hajj, the Lebanese photographer who submitted the image. The organization also said that it is investigating the incident. It just goes to show, its easy to do,and one should NOT always believe what you see!!

There is an old saying "Never believe what you hear, and only 1/2 of what you see."

I think that being said, leaves the rest self explanatory. Of course politicians, media, etc want to 'cover-up' some situations, and manipulate public opinions on other matters. This has been going on for hundreds of years and will continue into the future.

We, the people must do our own research, and keep in mind that not everything we find through that research will be accurate.

dI don't think this is media bias so much as media laziness. Lebanon is a war zone, so they use the same picture, thinking no one would notice. I have noticed that some of the phrases in a lot of news stories are also recycled. It's a shame because a lot of people no longer trust the media to report the news accurately or fairly and this is why.

Unless they bombed her house twice it doesn't make much sense. Is it the same paper? Same journalist?
Could it be they are trying to win over the sympathy of the public? Maybe they need some lessons from our media...ours is infamous for every dirty trick in the book.

The media does not really give a good idea of whats going on. They just re-use photos and interviews to make news reports. The same thing happened with hurricane Katrina. But yes, they are biased as hell.

I suspect much of the imagery intended to invoke sympathy for the poor, oppressed Lebanese is either staged or manipulated. Just today a Reuters freelance photographer was fired for manipulating a picture he took (he added smoke to a picture to make it look more dramatic).

That is weird, but I wonder if it is the same person. The second pic looks sorta like a man.
