I let my friend borrow my Converse All Star shoes for a while, and when he returned them, there was stuff written all over the rubber part with Sharpies (Permanent markers)

How can I get the marker out of the rubber part?
I already tried alcohol and washing it.
Please help!

Not sure what takes out permanent markers. I'd try Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, it's amazing when it comes to cleaning the rubber part on my Cons.

Also, I would suggest having your so called friend replace your shoes if you can't get the ink out. ...Good Luck!!

You're most likely going to need a new pair of shoes, I can't think of anything that will take permanant marker off of shoe rubber except time.

Make him buy you new ones and never let him borrow anything again because obviously he doesn't know how to respect other people's property.

They make this stuff to get perminant marker off white boards for schools...

It comes as a spray, try picking it up at office max?

It may just be mostly alcohol, but it may have more solvents in it. I can't promise it will be good for your shoe though.

That is pretty dense of your friend to ink up your shoes.

Ask him to to get you a new pair, and then give this one back to him. You can't get it out. How can one possible return you shoes with damage, especially with intentional.

I would just get a new pair or get the magic eraser and see if that works.

I'd kick his *** wearing those shoes! What an idiot; why did he write on your shoes? Kick his ***, take his money, and buy yourself a new pair.
