Does anybody have a rough idea how much scaffolding would cost? I need it to go about forty feet up and be about 3 meters wide? Or does anybody know a good scaffolder in glasgow from experience who could do the job?

I think they charge by the metre, not sure, it will probably be 2-3 hundred quid.Get into the yellow pages and ring round a few companies for a price, you need to use a reputable firm.

Sorry, I don't. You'll be renting the scaffolding of course. Ask them if they use Scaftag. If they don't, ask how they ensure the scaffolding has been checked for safety. If they give you patter, move on.

Wish I could offer more useful info. But scaffies give me the heebie jeebies. Apparently scaffies have one of the highest attrition rates in construction. Don't hire cowboys in a safety-critical area. If it goes down, whatever they get fined, you get fined ten times more.
