i think it's fading fast. all the emo bands are fading or changing styles. we'll see- intresting point tho.

EMO is a response to the time period. Grunge bands only faded because the economy picked up in the mid-90's. EMO is here today as long as the economy sucks and the War on Terror lasts.

Sadly if you're talking about cookie cutter bands, I keep seeing them appear. But emo bands are slowing down, and it's not as big of a fad as it used to be, but there still there, just not as many big bands that you'll see on MTV. (or something)

Nope. And, when it is pronounced dead by some of those fashion mags, it'll merely morph into another form of existential adolescent angst for media companies to exploit. (Heck, before it was dubbed "EMO", it was present before in metal, goth and punk subcultures.

it's starting to in my opinion,but bands that are aginst emos are writing songs about how stupid emos are whcih makes them emo by being emo about emos. haha. i'm stoopid.
