I'm not convinced you can make any money using the drop shippers. Take a look at ebay for the products you are considering and you'll often see many, many others trying to peddle the same stuff, all at the same price. If a market is that competitive, it becomes tough to make any money.
A better way to make good money on ebay is to find a niche. For example, a friend of mine found that the market for twin outfits (two identical or coordinated outfits in the same size for people who have twins) was huge when she first started selling off her daughter's outgrown clothes.
Now she actually goes to the clearance racks in stores, buys new stuff very cheap but always in two identical (or the same outfit in two colors) sets. She makes a nice income selling both new and used twin sets.
Another friend knows which styles of used levi's fetch good prices so she comes goodwill and garage sales for those and designer label clothing.
Once you build up enough profits, you can opt to buy merchandise or clothes in lots so you end up buying things for pennies on the dollar so you can offer a good deal on ebay and still make a good profit.
Collector items, auto parts, etc. and things that have become hard to find in local markets are all good money makers on ebay. For the last month, I've been buying doll house supplies because there are no good dealers here in Austin where I live. At least 3 of the dealers I bought from are regular merchants and make good money.
You might also find a pawn shop that will let you keep a share of profit to sell their stuff, or a used book store, etc.
Running an ebay consignment business can be a good way to go. People drop their stuff with you, you put it up and keep a percentage (usually 25%) of the sale price. (this has no inventory costs for you).
And lastly raising money for charity is a good one too. You can go to a charity or church and then solicit donations of goods (let's say this month its kids clothes) to be sold to go to a specific purpose, say building a new daycare center or feeding the homeless. It MUST be a legitimate charity but you do not have to turn over 100% of the profits. It is legal for you to get paid for your efforts, so again, maybe you keep 25% as your "fee."
Good luck.

You have to open up an account with the ebay pay service Paypal. There is no charge, as far as I recall. The address is www.paypal.com--to quote them "PayPal allows businesses and consumers to send and receive secure online payments via email"-I've only bought items but out of the two types of acct.s available I chose the type where I can be a buyer or a seller. Hope this lil bit of info helps.
