My daughter plays high school football and she is a line man. She is very talented and won the best line man award for her JV squad. Some of her teachers don't want her to play and they are trying scare tactics that I thnik are working because my daughter isn't playing this season.

I want to be sure that her decision to not play is hers and hers alone. I feel that the school has scared her into not playing. I have talked to her and she just says that she doesn't want to play. She fought so hard for her spot on the team. Why quit when you started to win a battle?

They should get a chance to Try Out Like any Guy! If she can handle her self and compete then she should most definietly be allowed to play.

Just in case you didn't know there are woman's football leagues!!

On the line maybe not since a womans ability to gain muscle mass isn't great but if she could gain weight A woman who plays on my team is the best tight end in Vermont high school she is being courted by a division 2 college team.

Absolutely! Team sports are a great confidence builder... excellent exercise... and if more of us had played team sports in our youth we'd be better team players in our careers instead of trying to stab other women in the back.

If they can compete, sure. By the time you get to High School though girls aren't strong enough or fast enough to compete. Fact of life, sorry.

if they are good enough. but most of the time girls aren't as strong, or fast. coaches have to take the people that will help the team win. but if a girl is good enough, and isn't going to complain, then i don't see why not.

If they are good enough to make the team then yes they should be allowed. HOWEVER, they should NOT be allowed to just because we live in a liberal PC world where everything has to be "fair".

why would they want too. i've heard of girls getting upset because they can't join the boy scouts. honestly, i think those girls just want attention. and they're obnoxious and annoying. start your own team/clubs.
