It is a religion of submission, not peace and Islamic fascists are responsible for all the terror and destruction in the world today with their fanatical Islamic beliefs that everyone that is not a Muslim is the infidel and must be defeated. We may very well have to kill everyone of those murderers who have no regard for peace or human life!

The Koran seems to me a paradox, a writing of schizophrenic temperament. It contains passages where it tells Muslims to kill and enslave all infidels by waging holy war. In other passages, it says to love and be at peace with non-Muslims. And both passages have their adherents.
I have met Muslims who are the most decent, kindest, warmest and giving of people. Then, we have the examples of others who seek to kill and die, who issue fatwa death orders, who murder people who speak out against some Islamic practices.
And both of these exist side by side, from the same book.
But I, too, have the nagging feeling that in the end, there will have to be a reckoning between Islam and the rest of the world. This is not something anybody wants - but it looking into the future darkly, that seems to be what is eventually going to happen.
It's sad.

I wasn't going to bother answering this question until I saw canucklehead's answer. If you are just joking, you're pretty funny, if not, YOU need to read your history books. Islam spread through a massive military conquest that the Arabs embarked on shortly after Mohammed's death. They performed a hostile takeover of any land which was not Muslim, including most of North Africa, Spain, and parts of France, until Charles Martel smacked them down at Tours. No religion is a religion of peace.

Of course Islam is a religion of peace. Check your history books. Islam spread out in both directions from Saudi Arabia with peace and love. The faithful carried pocket editions of the Holy Koran wherever they went and gave them away on the streets and left them in drawers in hotel rooms. Jews, Christians and pagans all embraced the new religion willingly. There was no bloodshed like when Europeans conquered the Americas. It was all done with peace and love.
You can look it up.

If you read the Christian Bible or the Torah, you'll see all kinds of wars, calls for vengeance, conquering of enemies. I learned in a religion class that some scholars think the monotheistic, "western" religions of Islam, Christianity and Judaism result in more religious wars, perhaps because this type of religion holds that its beliefs are the only true ones, the only paths to God or salvation. The monotheists generally believe that their members are a select group, while nonbelievers are inferior and often to be conquered. In contrast, the eastern polytheistic religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism have a greater emphasis on peace and tolerance for different groups, religious points of view, and of course multiple gods.

I don't care what THEY say the Koran says... any religion that condones the killing of innocents... of women and children... by rewarding the murderers with 72 virgins when they die, is a militant religion.
The Muslims never got over being defeated by the infidels 500 years ago and they want the entire world to go back to living in the 15th century and then hate the world that snubs them.

These Islamic devils have succeeded in part because of the willingness of people to remain willingly ignorant of Muslims stated anti-semetic intention of taking over the world and eliminating Jews...No different than Hitler's goal...It's exactly the same thing....hopefully these dogs will also meet the same end as Hitler.

If this were a few thousand years ago, I'm sure the Islamic nations would be saying the same thing about the Christians that were invading their homeland and kiiling all of those people in the name of God.

I'm not a fan of the Islamic religion, but from what i understood they believe they are fighting for freedom from western dominance and influence. Not all Muslims agree with the tactics that have been chosen to fight with. It is also important to remember that the muslims terrorizing people are crazy fanatics who are using their own ideas in the name of Islam. Not all Arabs believe it is right.

Wow, Islamic people say the same thing about Christianity too.
You need to realize that issues like this are not just based in black and white. Parts of it are in shades of gray. If you don't understand that, then you shouldn't be talking about nuking people.
