If there is no spark, the most COMMON failure for that engine is the cam and crank sensors. They are the ones that tell the computer what position the engine is in, and if it is turning over.
If the sensor(s) fails, then the computer can't make the spark plugs fire (how would it know which one) and it WONT deliver a pulse to the injectors (Why? No point in triggering an injector for an engine that isn't going to run!)
The only way to tell for sure is with a code reader or scanner. These are pretty expensive, so it is probably better that you tow it to a reputable service facility.
If you are capable of this repair, you can purchase a code reader for about $125.00 at a discount parts store. They come with instructions for reading codes. You can purchase the repair manual for about $20.00 or go the library for the information you need.

Maybe you have to reset the electric fuel pump. Usually in the trunk on the side wall

sure it was out of gas? check to see if the valves are moving, could be timing belt/chain since there's no spark.
