You obviously have issues surrounding having money or spending it. These might be inherited ideas from your parents or things you have learned growing up. Like, "money is the root of all evil", or "money doesn't grow on trees", or "You don't need money", or "money doesn't buy happiness". Money certainly is not responsible for your happiness. It is merely a currency we use to purchase the things we want/need. It offers us options. I suggest you read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T.Harv Eker to get at the core reasons why you are not able to enjoy your money.

If you feel you can not enjoy, maybe you don't need it. Think about it first. Maybe you feel guilty for having it when there are so many people in the world that need it. Think smart when it comes to money. You may have it now and one day you will wake up and have nothing to show for it.

I am assuming you have enough money to meet all of your financial obligations (pay your bills, save, donate to charity) and you are referring to the "leftover" money.

If you do not enjoy spending it, it may be because you are a "saver." Some people are spenders, some people are savers. If you don't want to spend it right now, save it for later. A ROTH IRA is a lovely way to start saving for retirement. For shorter term savings, a CD or MMA work well.

Of course, you could also donate it to a worthy cause, too.

you know the saying..money can't buy happiness..my brother is a millionaire and he's been depressed all his life...i think if you took some of it and helped someone less fortunate.... that would make you happy...i live on a fixed income of $564 a month and i'm happy.......i used to live on $2200 a month years ago until i got hurt...but i don't remember being any happier....just be thankfull every day that you are fortunate to have it..blessings
