I had trouble getting the link below to load, but it might be what you are looking for.
Check out A Baby Story and other such shows on TLC or Discovery Health.
Also, it doesn't JUST "numb the uterus and vaginal area" it numbs pretty much everything from the lower back on down. You can't walk, etc.

An epidural is the name of the way that doctors numb the uterus and vaginal area of a woman so that she does not feel the pain of contractions and tearing during labor but she is still able to control her muscles enough that she can push. It would be impossible to show a picture of it. There could possibly be a picture of the IV and the needle, but not of the epidural itself. That would be like asking to see a picture of chemotherapy.

I can suggest that if you want to see the real deal...go to a Labor and Delivery ward at your local hosptial and maybe a patient would not mind letting you watch what they go thru which is a wonderful experience for anyone woman.
You can even watch live births on Discovery Health or the Learning Channel.

I was going to say the same thing said above. If you watch "A Baby Story" on TLC, Birth Day on Discovery Health, or other birthing shows, you will most likely see one being performed on tv. I watch those kinds of shows all the time and I've seen it on tv several times.
