If I say I don't like football everyone around me act like I'm going to h e l l for not likeing football. All last season I tried to get into it for my husband. All my girlfriends are all football fanatics. I just can't get into it. I think I hate football. The more I try to like it the more I hate it.

It's not that I don't understand it. I just can't get excited about it. I don't enjoy watching it. I'd rather be doing something else.

No one is obligated to like anything. Don't feel different because you don't find any appeal. It isn't for everyone. At least you gave it a chance. I commend you for that, a lot of people in your position would have put it down without giving it a chance.
There are few men in this world who like football more than I do, but I don't like to watch it around a group of other guys who turn the volume up on the television then shout at each other. I prefer to watch it in my recreation room and with the volume all the way down. I've followed football since the mid 60's and don't require someone else to tell me whats happening or to hear stories about the players, or the endless stream of statistics.

You are entitled to your own opinion but I think that manicures and shopping is very boring. I do these things but I just don't enjoy it as much as sitting mid field in the bleachers and watching a football game. It doesn't even have to be a great football game. I may even think that football haters might go to hell. Ha ha, just joking. You can't be force fed football because that will make you hate it even more. My mom hated football and my dad was a high school football coach. All of my brothers played football and most of my nephews played. I wasn't allowed to play but my daughter played high school football and she loved it. She decided not to play this year because she wants to try the girly girly thing but I think that one day she will see that she has football in her blood. It has to be in you to like it. You can't just make it happen. Find a way to support your husband and friends like hosting a Monday Night Football party. Stay occupied with the snacks and a good book. Maybe their enthusiasm could be contagious. Good Luck!

Football is dumb. You know the truth about it. Everyone else is just ignorant. They are unexciting like football. That is nice that you try for your husband. i don't understand sports. I can play some sports if I'm in the mood but can never watch them,

Hey if you don't like it and can't get in to it, that's ok! Personally I like it though I certainly don't expect everyone to like the same things I do. Just let them have their fun and respect the fact that they love it even if you don't.

It's all about tradition. Friends, food, beer, and wildness. Some people like football, and some people like Crochet.
