Islam is the farthest right any human can go. Take any issue and Muslims represent the extreme end of the right, yet leftists apologize for Islamists based on a "enemy of enemy" theory.
My experience is, when a leftist is well educated about Islam, they will have more contempt for it than a jew whose had his whole family killed by islamists.
I encourage all leftists to study Islam in depth...you will rue the day you uttered a single word of apology for it.

Beats me,I agree.
Osama and his fools are as far right as Hitler in my opinion.But he does not represent Islam for me.Like Hitler does not represent European culture.
I am very left wing and never feel the need to apologies for these Muslim fascists.I will however defend Islam cos most Muslims deserve better than to be represented by Osama.
Islam is a beautiful religion,like Christianity but they can be used by fanatics for evil.Hitler did use Christianity too.It's just the fascists way.
I'm an atheist myself but read the Bible and the Koran.

not totally true, maybe many leftist you know.
I think Islam, like Christianity have been manipulated, in history, to make peoples hate and fight each other's. Why ? While they fighting, they don't search what is really wrong. And to enslave peoples, because, science is supposed to be , heretic. Like any knowledge...There is strong evidences in History that support those ideas.

I have studied Islam, I know the basic principles and differences between Sunnis and Shiites. I've studied them for years, since like high school. I find it interestng that people believe that the small part of Muslims that are violent represent the whole. So while you may believe that Muslims are the worst people in the world, if you look into history you will find that Christians have killed radically more people than anyother religions. While I am a liberal, I don't appologize for the actions of the minority extremeists, I appologize for the way Americans stereotype religions that aren't common to their own culture.
While you may want to flame me for my comments, I will simply state that this is what I have been taught, from both liberals and conservatives in high school and college. I live in a state that votes Democrat, and an area that votes strictly Republican. I have been exposed to the thinkings of both people and I have found that both parties are equally racist against Muslims, the only difference is that democrats are trying to change that.

You really need to read "American Theocracy" by Kevin Phillips to understand from where the hatred of America (just another face of petro-imperialism) stems.
The Koran allows Muslims to defend their homes. To them, that is all they're doing. Their methods strike us a brutal sometimes. I've never recognized the distinction, however, between being beheaded by a sword or beheaded by a smart-bomb.
This idea isn't as difficult to grasp as you're making it out to be.
Your rhetoric is clever, though. And I agree that monotheism is a scourge upon humanity. How much blood will it take for people to see?
