Major auto manufactrers, and currently? None. GM tried at one, and called it the Evo. They recalled it years ago, and all the units were subsequently destroyed but two, which are in museums.

Ha, ha. Get a hybrid and suffer like the rest of us. I'll be frostbitten right along with you when the world's oil supply runs out. Cars aren't the only things that need oil to work.

Watch "Who Killed the Electric Car?"--an excellent documentary currently out in theaters--and educate yourself before you sneer in ignorance.

In the US, no companies make 100% electric cars.

Toyota did, but they have discountinued them for the new hybrid lines. It was not cost effective at this time. The range and speed was not acceptable and they have stopped making them. The city of Pasadena, CA had a bunch of them and is upset that they are getting taken away at the end of the lease. Technology will get there, but it is not ready yet.
