How can i get my mom to let me shave my legs?

Its disgusting to look at my legs up close they're hairy and they look even grosser in pantyhose!

well im 10 and i have to shave my armpits and i do play on a volleyball team I started going through puberty a lot earlyer than most girls and im in sixth grade

I know my mom is like that too. I cant stand looking at my legs it looks like a man legs. My mom always goes like its going to grow faster and thicker and she was right. Dont do it cus my legs were normal and now i have man legs ew. maybe you can use hair removal gel my friend said that it works.

well when you go threw pubrty (speling) you should start shaving where you dont want hair EX. legs and under your arms...i went through pubirty when i was 9 almost 10 so i know what you are tlaking about ive been though all this ive delt with it for almost 5 and a 1/2 years i would say and you know just shave onece get rid of the hairs then let them grow back kinda long your mom will never know and then if she notices just tell her that you hated having the hair and you shaved it of but i would tell you wait as long as you can but since you already have hit pubirty go for it i did and 1 more thing its a possibility that your mom doesnt want you to grow up here you are 10 and already needing to shave she wants you to wait till your 16 or mabey 18 parents dont like to think that there little girls are growing up....like when iwas 10 babries pretty much went out the door cause of all this now i 15 and in highschool and idk but parents dont want us to grow up ...
so anyways just do it and not all the time mabey once a week and then gradually move to 2 and then 3 i shave my leages every other day now so just 1 time then when your mom starts to notice start moving up to more times a week....

I started shaving with an electric razor my mom didn't use anymore. And she wouldn't let me shave up past my knees.

Your mom might freak out less about you shaving if you work a deal with her. Ask about an electric razor, or using Nair.

If you tell her you don't want to shave up past mid-thighs, and you don't think you're ready for a razor blade - I don't see her saying no.

Then if she's okay with that - she definately will NEVER know when you start shaving your whole leg, as that is always covered.

The idea of you using a razorblade at age ten will freak her out because that's kind of a womanly thing. So is having your legs shaved all the way, that's a mature thing too.

Just tell her your selfconscious and ask what will she agree to. Demand that the hair has 'got to go' because it all of the sudden bothers you that much. If you're old enough for it to bother you that much, you're old enough to get rid of it. : )

I don't know how old you are, where you are, or if there are some religious issues that don't allow you to shave your legs. If there isn't some large issue, just go ahead and shave your legs, without your mother's permission if necessary. Tell your mom that it's not socially acceptable in the US to go around with hairy body parts if you're a female.

How old are you? How are your arm pits? Do you shave them? If you shave your arm pits, just shave your legs too and she probably won't even notice it. Don't get in trouble with your mom, if she looks and insists that you don't and you are under 18, be careful and do what you are told. She should let you! Tell her that everyone makes fun of you at school and you can't take it much more.

When I was in your position I gave my mom a definate reason of why I had to start shaving my legs. It was: "Mom, I'm joining the volleyball team, so my legs will be showing, so I have to shave them." It made enough sense to her, so she was like, "okay." Just think of some logical, good reason like that, and she should agree.

Don't ask, just do it. They're your legs. And she probably won't notice. And if she does, so what, you get grounded, for something as silly as shaving your legs? It doesn't make sense. Just rebel and do it.
