looks as though i'm the only one here, different than your self, that has ever seen a water heater which incorporate yours. They have been stated as cabinet warmers, as they could be fixed nicely suited in with the cabinets interior the kitchen, in very almost the area of a dishwasher, which made them incredibly situation-free to plot for interior the entire scheme of the kitchen section. yet another ingredient that ladies persons extra often than not, enjoyed a lot, became into that with the warm water tank nicely suited there decrease than the cabinet, that they had warm water especially much at present, whilst they opened a faucet. besides, they have not been made for fairly a while, which makes this one especially old and likely, in line to get replaced fairly than repaired. The extremely heat water became into led to with the aid of a thermostat going off on this is own tangent and not shutting down whilst it is going to. In new units there's a hi shrink reset device, atop the better thermo that shuts the unit down whilst this way of element starts off to ensue. regrettably, you are going to choose a plumber or an exceedingly experienced handiman, to treatment this situation, as this unit won't be of a lot use and you will would desire to tug it out to get to the pipes to run them to the recent unit. you are going to would desire to discover someplace else interior the homestead to place in a unit it is going to be a lot taller, and around. Your old unit would desire to have been electric powered, so which you will likely would desire to have an electrician are available and re-direction the wiring to the recent water heater besides. this would possibly not be an low-value project, i'm afraid. So, do no longer project approximately the place the leak is coming from, in simple terms get the potential became off and the water grant to the heater became off, then locate the persons you are going to would want that might actually assist you get the element replaced.

Umm, where is it leaking from?
Could be the drain valve, they tend to leak, try tightening or replacing. Could be the pressure release value, probably would need to be replaced. Could be the base of the tank. Tanks wear out and leak after a while.
It is a pretty easy do-it-yourself project to replace a water heater (esp if it is electric).

How old is your hot water heater?
The harsh reality is that they simply wear out after 10-15 years.
I'm planning to replace mine with a tankless model in the next few months.

The chances are that its done for and you will need to replace it.
It would have helped if you could have isolated the leak and said where it was at on the tank. lack of info here sorry.

You probably have a rust hole in the tank--better get it replaced quickly before it bursts and makes a mess.

If it`s getting older 6 + years it`s time to buy a new one. They are not designed to last much longer than that.
