Absolutely, totally embarrassing. I can not believe how many people watch Jerry on a regular basis. What makes a person want to go on national TV and try to find out who really knocked them up?
I'm sure it's not all real, and that even the stories that are true are embellished. However, it's embarrassing that people in our country want to watch. It's just a bunch of people screaming at each other - often at the same time. With all of the bleeping out of the bad words, you can't even figure out what they're saying. Where is the entertainment in that?

I don't watch it. Personally, I think Jerry Springer is a national disgrace.
As for the people, I have it on good authority (I've never caught the woman lying to me) that many of them are from Central Casting. I have other friends who watch several of the talk shows (I'd rather waste time right here). They have told me on many occasions that they have seen the same people on different shows whining about different problems. That reinforces the statement of my friend who consult with Hollywood types.

It goes about as low as you can go. When you consider that some of the events are staged, it seems even tackier. I dislike the show because it highlights the very worst in society and makes it seem as if there are no subjects off limits. The less I hear about this show, the better. Oh and I refuse to watch it if I happen to be somewhere and it comes on.

Yes it's time for Jerry to move on to something else. It was funny at first but he let it go too far. I do like Maury though. I love the "Who my baby daddy is?" ones the best. Even though I feel sorry for the kids who's mother gets on there and tests half of the men in her hometown and is so shocked when Maury says "You are NOT the father!"

I think it's more of a disgrace that people continue to tune into it so that it's still on the air. There's always going to be attention seekers out there but have we truly become a nation that desperate for "entertainment"??

They are mostly actors, with a few exceptions. I think Jerry Springer is a legend, it will go down in history.

Oh, those people are real....just go to a Wal-Mart after 10 PM!!!
I remember a time when a pregnant girl who did not know who the father was was actually ashamed. And I'm only 38 years old!

Actually I think that it is a ridiculous show. It's sad to see that so many people like to watch that kind of thing. The fact that people do watch it shows that there are a lot of weird voyeurs in our country.

They aren't really like that. They get $1500 to do it, plus free airfare, room, and board. They have a story line and improvise from there.
I like it purely because I have hope that somewhere out there is a person that's more screwed up than I am.
