Try exfoliating. I would recommend one from Arbonne. It's called Intelligence Exfoliating Masque with Thermal Fusion. This is an amazing product. Just massage it onto dry skin, then after a minute when it starts to get dry put water on your fingertips and massage in circles over the skin. Leave on for about 5 minutes and then rinse off with cool water. It will look like you have a slight sunburn where you put it on and you will feel a warming sensation on your skin. This is normal. It's the Thermal Fusion working on cleansing your pores. Use this about 3-4 times a week.

Exfoliation is they key. For really dry areas use a manual exfoliant like St. Ives, or if you have sensitive skin try something more gentle like Clinique 7-Day scrub cream. Don't use these more than a couple of times a week though, and don't scub too hard and "overexfoliate" the skin on your face. If you do, it will feel like a sunburn. Use a chemical exfoliant twice a day (i.e. Seabreeze, Clinique Clarifying Lotion, etc.) to keep your skin looking fresh, and apply moisturizer to any areas that need it.

I cannot stress enough though the importance of using products that are right for your skin type! Oilier skins can typically withstand more exfoliation than dry, sensitive skin. Using products that are too harsh for your skin type will result in a mild "chemical burn" that will only cause further irritation and prolong the healing process. If you can afford the $32.50, go to your nearest Clinique counter and let them advise you on which "toner" and manual exfoliant will work best for your skin type. Believe me, no other cosmetic reps are as thoroughly trained in skin care as the Clinique girls!!!

I've been having this same problem recently. What I've been doing is I've been using a "microdermabrasion facial scrub". It sounds complicated, but really it's just a fine exfoliant that you use in the shower before/after you wash your face. It's made of really fine sand that seems to do the trick without damaging the rest of your face. While this works well, make sure you don't get it in your eyes or mouth- it doesn't feel too good. Also, as soon as you pat dry your face, put on a good facial moisurizer- one with some SPF if you can for the daytime, but at night before you go to sleep, wash your face as usual with the exfoliator and regular face wash (maybe even switch face wash to one that's less abrasive and drying...) But instead of your SPF moisturizer, put on a thicker moisturizer so it will soak in while you sleep. Also, to keep your lips nice and soft, put a vasoline on your lips over night. Hope this helps!

The products I've been using if you want to try to use them-
-Neutrogena DEEP CLEAN cream cleanser (oil free so you don't have the opposite problem)
-Mary Kay Timewise Microdermabrasion (There are many different types of microdermabrasion products at Target, etc.)
-Mary Kay Age Defying Moisurizer (Again, there a tons of types of moisturizers at the store.)
-Regular Vasoline

GOOD LUCK

facial scrubs, don't rub to hard though. Can use baking soda for a cheap homemade scrub.

Mudd packs, acid peals, microderm abrrasion scrubs, a gentle wash cloth and anything facial safe to scrub with ie baking soda.

But the key is once it is off to mousterize. Cheap nice trick that helps keep the acne at bay.... pure alcohol free aloe vera!

Exfoliate. Use a nice facial scrub. Or gently scrub with a warm, soapy washcloth.

Oatmeal scrub or just plain soap and water will work. Don't scrub too hard, facial skin is sensitive.
