i took note on how only guys answered your question but look i am a diver not a scuba diver. but wearing a speedo helps. they are light, and easier to swim in. (i checked with my team mates) if your to worried about how you look you will never be able to go out an swim RIGHT. if your worried about ppl seeing YOU then y are you swimming anyway? (just personal opinion thats all) If swimming in a speedo bothers you then just go with what your are comfortable with.

I wore a speedo for years. I was never a fan of jammers. I have worn a leg suit or body suit for couple of important meets. Those are a completley different feel. I prefer speedo briefs over jammers but it is everyones personal preferences.

wear the speedo. as a swimmer i know that i prefer them and all real swimmers use them to practice in. at meets you can use a jammer if it helps you, but speedos ar ethe way to go.

I think it's fine as long as you are comfortable with it. They create less drag in the water. ( I know a guy that even shaved his legs for less drag) And if ppl worry about whats "pokin out" down there women "poke out" as well in other locations but we have accepted it forever.
