You should have said "Heres your sign" lol.Hehe.Really,i understand what your saying,its pretty obvious that you were getting gas,lol.Makes you wonder what people really think.Honestly,i have no idea how people can not understand.lol.
I went to the mall one time.I passed this lady and i had bags in my hands and she said "Shopping huh?" lol.I couldnt help but laugh.I was laughing so hard i couldnt even answer and i just kept walking.

I think he was asking you if u were filling the tank up completely or just partially. Yes, people do still pay for their gas before hand. And no not everyone walks into a gas station to purchase gas. Some buy gum, beer, or lottery tickets among other things

I got asked something like that the other day...I had already went inside and had to ask the girl to turn the pump on. When I went back inside to pay she asked if I had gas (yes, I'm aware that sounds funny, lol). I'm thinking...duh, you just turned the pump on for me, hell yeah I got gas. It may have been different if she were extremely busy, but I was the only customer at the time.

You might be surprised how many people don't "fill up" but just get a bit of gas. On the other hand, he could just have been trying to be friendly. That doesn't make him stupid.

We live in a world where gas station often do more than just sell gas. Sometimes there are convenient stores in them, so it may be that he thought you were gonna buy something.

Try living in Indiana, when I buy candy at the convenience store they ask if I want a sack to put it in. A sack, I mean come on havent you heard of a bag. And they also have a game thats kind of like horseshoes, but they call it corn holing, I kid you not. A guy my husband worked with had a 15 year old girl ask if he wanted to cornhole with her. WTF

I've been asked "do you work here?" while I'm at work, wearing my uniform with the HUGE company logo on it. It's funny to see thier reaction when I say "No I just like the uniform."
