Talk to her over the phone, mail her, try to stay in contact with her, as often and as much as possible if you want you two to be best friends still.
Even if you can't spend time with her and see her in person, she can still be your best friend.

Well, my daughter went through this last year with her "then" best friend. Unfortunately, the friend changed for the worse and started hanging out with kids who were leading her the "wrong way," smoking/cutting class, etc.
My daughter was heartbroken when the friend moved. Then after the move when my daughter realized her friend had changed, she was able to realize that they didn't have too much in common anymore.
My daughter has a different best friend today and they are much better suited to one another in terms of personality, things in common, maturity level.
There is no foolproof answer to remaining best friends. Only time will tell. Sorry to not give you a more hopeful response!
