I totally agree with you. Rap music is so degrading to women. I never listen to it and I don't understand how any woman could.

I think that terrible music directly influences how young black men treat young black women these days and something needs to change.

I am annoyed when rappers try to talk about God at the end of their careers. Who are those hypocrites fooling? To be a Christian you have to live the life.

But it's whatever sells, I guess.

The popular, radical music of any era is always blamed for bringing down the youth of the nation.

It was thought punk music would bring about the death of society as we knew it when it was in full flow, that heavy metal was the work of Satan. In the 60s the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and their ilk were held to be the cause of youth's problems with the influence of their music.

For most kids it passes. They make more and different music choices, they grow up some.

um...
maybe their parents shouldnt allow them to own or listen to music with inappropriate and se.xually explicit lyric and ennuendo in it...

in the end we all make up our own minds...

and all the bad influences in the world cannot be blamed

Nobody else should take the blame for something you did... unless you're unable to think for yourself and dont know what is right or wrong and that someone is telling you specifically what to do in order to harm yourself or others...

I think there is a difference between correlation and cause. Perhaps they listen to more explicit lyrics because they are sexually active, and not the other way around.

I hate rap music and wish it didn't exist. They took a great art form and turned into garbage.
