Stool softeners are not the best thing for you or your baby. Instead eat a lot more fiber. Some foods to try are All Bran Honey Clusters (they are really good-- regular All Bran isn't), beans (just throw a can of blackbeans in where you would use beef), and fruit. Also, drink tons of water.

My doctor told me any stool softener is fine. They can be a little pricy though. I used the generic on from my pharmacy and it worked great. Drink a lot of juice. I started eating Banana Nut Muffins for breakfast, and it actually helped. I have the same problem. So just hang in there.

I'm virtually nine weeks and the one change I can see in my stomach is that it is a bit more impregnable at the minimize facet of it. I wager in the event you attempted to drag on your belly (do not do it an excessive amount of, lol) you'll be able to uncover that you just can not. That's seeing that all of the area is being taken up by means of the youngster proper now. Once the youngster will get enormous ample to push your uterus beyond your hip bones, you'll be able to begin to peer a bump. I've heard that your first being pregnant does not exhibit for awhile. I additionally inspiration I'd be capable to peer some thing by means of this factor. I imply, I'm very skinny. There's now not a lot location for the youngster to move however out.

Ehhhhhh i have had the worst time with constipation myself. Stool softners really aren't that good for your baby because when you have a huge BM you could throw yourself into labor. Drink more water and if you can't fit more fiber into your diet than use metumical or benefiber (one of those fiber drinks that are out there). Good luck, it only gets worse in the last trimester..

your obgyn can give you a stool softener. I was badly constipated in the beginning. It should go away soon and you will be regular again.

Talk to your doctor about switching pre-natal pills. A lot of times the iron will constipate you, and they have pills w/stool softeners.
