Have any of you ever heard of that metal sphere that spins all by itself here on earth? I would really like some information on that ...serious info. If you don't know please don't answer with stupid crap. I am very curious so to all you smart people please help me!

of course there are forces that make it spin, all i know is what is said. and didn't i ask you idiots not to answer with stupid crap? anyway - it is here on earth and it spins (with forces) and i am trying to find out more on it. why so close minded?

Nothing can spin all by itself according to the laws of entropy an external source of energy must be constantly applied. Therefore once the electrical current is disconnected as per those html links the spherical motion would stop

i dont believe there is anything on earth that can spin as you describe, the earh has forces upon it to enable it to rotate on an axis
if you look up on google the word gyroscope you may get a better understanding as to why its not possible without getting really heavy
commander gerald carr took a gyroscope model into space and set it spinning it lasted until the vacuam in which it was spinning was reduced, and gravity took over. regards LF

there aint no metal sphere that spins on its own - and if you are smart alecky and thinking the earths mattle is metal and spins on its own - it doesnt. for the why and the how - thats another question but there are forces that make it spin
