why are people who hate gays and lesbians such pricks???

I met lesbians and gays, and they have all been really nice to me and my girlfriend and to people in general, but the people who dislike them are such pricks about everything... how come?

You are completely right. I just don't understand people who judge because of sexuality - gays & lesbians are just like any 'group' of people (black, white, asian, disabled, fat, there are so many labels); some are nice, some are nasty, some you would be friends with, some you wouldn't, some are good looking, some aren't.......I could go on. We all have good and bad points, people are people.

It is funny how so many religious people, who claim to love all, be peaceful, not judge etc, are so preducided against anyone who isn't the same as them.

Because they are afraid. They are afraid of what they can't and won't understand about human nature. When you are afraid of something, generally you either stick your head in the sand, or you get angry and defensive. Most of the folks on this site who act like pricks are the angry and defensive ones.

Instead of trying to understand, instead of educating themselves....and learning that gay/bi and trans folks are people who work, play, contribute to society......they decide to lash out. Then they get upset because we're upset and it's all a big freakin' mess.

I just wish that if they choose to be willfully ignorant, that they would look the other way. Why, indeed, do they feel the need to look for immorality in us, when they only have to look into the mirror to see it? Hatred, bigotry and anger are not morals to me.

Hate is such a strong emotion...I don't hate homosexuals, I just pray for them. Like the song says "only love can conquer hate". Some people are just ignorant morons and shouldn't be listened to.

Because in Romans chapter 1 of The Holy Bible God calls
them reprobates-rejected by God, so why shouldn't we reject them. God and most Christians still love them as a person because they have the potential of becoming Christians, but that doesn't mean they have to love what they are doing.

Where there is anger and fear, there is insecurity. They can't even explain why they hate. They quote the bible. They say "it's sick and wrong". But they never use their own words, and they can never back up their arguments with reasons.

I pity them. They're missing out on a lot of great friendships.
