I have a couple questions about the sims 2 babies:

1. How long is a sim pregnant in sim days?
2. How do you know when a sim has her baby?
3. Do you name the baby?
4. Does she have birth at the house or where does she have birth?

And tell me about sims having birth if you have experienced it.

a sim is pregnant for aprox. 3 days on sims 2 - on sims 1 there is no pregnancy.

you know when it happens becuase there is a mini (g-rated) video of the birth on sims 2 - sims 1 the bassinet just appears in a shower of flowers.

you name the baby when it's born in both.

in sims 2 the baby is born in the video at the house, sims 1 the bassinet just appears where it feels like - sometimes in the middle of the kitchen!

Trying for Baby
Pregnancy does not magically happen, they need to try for a baby. There are three different places Sims can try to get pregnant, they are: the bed, hot tub, and clothing booth. Just because they try for a baby, does not mean that the woman will become pregnant. There is a 60% chance in the bed, 50% chance in the clothing booth (public woohoo), and 25% in the hot tub.
Trying on the Bed
To try for a baby on the bed, you have to have a male and female sim relax on a bed together. The option to 'try for baby' or 'woohoo' will show up. Choose 'try for baby' if you wish your Sim to have a baby.

If you listen closely after 'trying for baby' you will hear a lullaby afterwards. You can have both relax on the bed and see if the 'try for baby' option shows up. If it doesn't, then your Sim is pregnant.

"The Sims 2" : Birth of Baby
Sometime on Day 3, the Sim will deliver her baby. The camera will bring your attention to your Sim when she is ready to have the baby. The game will pause and family members will gather to watch the baby enter the world. If you save the game before the baby is born, and you don't get the sex you want, you can restart the game and try again.
A screen will show up saying that a new family member (or two new babies) is on their way. The new baby will be in the Sim's arms. You need to choose a name for the baby. The name cannot be changed, so pick one you like!

Good Luck! Now the real fun of taking care of a baby and toddler will be coming soon

The Sim is pregnant for what seems like a long time. It depends on which Sim you are playing. If you are playing the Sims 2, I would say about a week.

You will know when she has her baby because 1) she's got the prgnant belly and 2) she'll stop what she's doing to "grab" her belly. Some sparks appear and all the sudden, a message says you have a baby.

You yourself name the baby, the gender isn't up to you though.

She has birth at the house, or where ever she is when she delivers.

I don't know what more you are looking for, but that is what I have to say on that.

I think they are pregnant for 3 days. You know she has the baby because she moans and holds her stomach and another little green plumbob appears... it also tells you there is a new addition to your family. You will get a window popup after the baby is born that lets you name the baby. She will have the baby at home. Your sim will not have the baby if you are not actively playing that family... so you basically "experience" the birth... I personally think the sim should go through "transition" while in labor and maybe slap the dad or something.... LOL

Pregnant for 3 days.Your sim will get sick(throw up),get a belly, and need more sleep and food. When labor starts she will bend over in pain and the husband will"witness birth"then the baby will spin up in the air and the game will give you a chance to name the baby after telling you if its a girl or boy.My sim as had a baby in the house in the kitchen and the bedroom.Make the husband feed the baby after the birth, put the mother to sleep, then have him"serve dinner"so she can eat when she gets up because after having the baby the sleep and food go way down.
