Canabis.
They fly in.
Then drop like flies.
Then eat like pigs.

A venus flytrap isnt going to stop little flies coming into the house...geeezzzzz (but they are fun and entertaining out in the garden!)...
Buy a "mosquito plant" (citronella).
And fix the screens, shut the doors, clean up the doorsills.
Also, the little flies might be coming from your food--any veggies or fruits laying around? they lay their eggs then hatch out (gross!).

I don't know about spraying anything directly on the plants aside from liquid seven(carbaryl) which I don't recomend, but if you fill shot-glass sized containers to the rim with cider vinegar and a pinch of dish soap and place them near the plants, the fruit flies will try to feed on it and drown in it. They must be filled to the point of overflowing though or they will just sit on the rim and feed then get away.

Our local garden expert on TV said that planting geraniums in pots near the door areas would prevent flies from entering the house.
I've tried this and it does work!
Good Luck.

Pitcher plants (Sarracenia) or Venus Flytraps will eat some of the larger flies, Sundews (Drosera) will eat gnat-sized insects; none of them will take the place of screening, caulk, or weatherstripping....

I tried mint in a glass on the window, and although it helped, it didn't get them all, so I bought one of those bug lamps. The flies & moths are attracted to the blue light, and it zaps them dead!

Do not know any plants but if you burn a citronella candle all flies hate the smell of it.
