Given a recent survey a large minority of Muslims would like the U.K. to become an Islamic state others would like to see Shariah law introduced surely they should re-locate to a non-secular state rather than impose upon the majority. This would apply to all and any religious believers who feel their beliefs are more important than the freedom to believe, the freedom to be.
serious answers only please. Racists and Bigots please look elsewhere on these pages there is plenty to keep you occupied.

Are you saying that Secularists should be allowed to force their ideas on the rest of us? I have found that I get on with people of sincere faith, whatever their faith is. It is those who are unsure of themselves, who try to use their religion to justify their hatred that give the real problems

In a simple reply, having someone move to a different location because they try to enforce their beliefs would be forcing your beliefs on them. So would you have to move to a different location and live only among people who believe that segregation is the key to maintaining neutrality?

You're a secular state because you're allowed to believe what you want. By homogenizing everyone, you wouldn't really be a secular state, you would a Communist state and we've all seen how well that works.

No matter where you live or what you believe there are going to be people who want the world to be different. If everyone moved to a country that believed the same thing as them, they would only try to expand that belief into neighboring countries. Take a stroll through history and you'll see some prime examples of that. By saying you disagree with what they want the government to be in a sense means that you want to have your government represent what you believe. It's much the same thing, but what you believe happens to be what the government already enforces. If the government was a Muslim state, would you want it to be run differently or would you just move some place else? It's worth a thought.

I am pretty sure everyone would like the place they live in have the same religious and moral views they do - wouldn't that make life a whole lot easier??
If you are living in a place where majority rules, than rally the majority. Whether that majority is Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish or Secular, they have the right to have their voices heard, and pass laws accordingly.
For example - if all Christians got together and wanted to pass laws that said "It is illegal to be anything but Christian." than it is up to the rest of the country who disagree to:

a) Come together and defeat the law
b) Accept the law and convert
c) Accept the law and move

The greatness of the USA and the UK is that we have the freedom of religion - to believe or not believe and to discuss and argue the point. We can wear symbols of our beliefs, whether it's something obvious or something simple.
It's a great thing.............

No. If we were to go to a Muslim or an Islamist country, they would impose their ways of life, laws etc etc on us, whether we be English, Dutch, Americn, Japanese...

Hence, when a foreigner comes to another country to live, they should live under the law and way of life, to the best of their ability.

I am not racist in any way, but truely believe only people who are willing to accept that somethings they do in public may have to change from what they would normally do.

Of course in the privacy of their own homes, so long as no-one is injured or murdered, then they can live how they want.

What if a large majority of the population are devout religious believers and want their society to reflect that belief, and secular folks are in the minority? What should we do then? If democracy is to be our agreed-upon government, then shouldn't the wishes of the majority prevail? Or is it that secularism ought to prevail in spite of the wishes of the majority? This is a serious question- there are large areas of the world (and even sizable portions of the United States) where unfettered democracy would quickly produce a religious government. What do you do then?

I say let them stay. If a majority of the UK becomes Shariah, then no one will really mind if they re-write the laws. But I doubt that will ever happen in the UK. You have the right to ignore them.

Dude I would really like to see the Nazis and KKK kicked out of America, but if they did that then this wouldn't really be America.

Bob I would not normally agree with you but after watching Peter Snow tonight I am very worried about the future for our childrens freedom. It will be their heritage that will be lost for good if we do not start to education them about the rich history that our nation has. And to teach them of how our own forefathers fought for the freedom that we now enjoy. Though I feel not for very much longer the way things are going.

Have I missed the point please?

Peoples views are usually based upon religious beliefs. Look at any war and you will find that incompatible 'religious beliefs' are the main cause for war and terrorism.
So the answer to your question is ban all religions, instead of doing good for the world they are in fact giving us the means to destroy it.

It's a bit late to be asking that question now, the bunch of imbeciles that we laughingly refer to as a government have been practically BEGGING these types of people to come here for the last 9 years

Look closely at whats being said and what sharia law actually involves... ie the death by torutre of every single girl I know in agony and terror for sex outside marriage...

Stoning...
Smashing someone’s face and head in till they stop screaming and the sheet of the their red goes red with their blood ie their eyes have been burst, their jaw and teeth smashed in etc... the crime... sex outside marriage with the guy of their choice... again can apply to teenagers...

Abuse and mass muder and horror

or how about we start buring alive all the wiccans, doctors and scientists at the stake for witchcraft after torture. Oh and anyone who disaggree as a heratic?

Filling the world with sexisim... How about (with the exception of Isrea)l... we reintroduce nazi death camps if the majority vote nazi or

Femle circumcision...

And for those who dislike links try this... Warning its nasty so don't report if you dont like it... Instead join the campain to stamp it out. It made me sick first time I heard it... And then see links above if you think its rare or the odd person who does it.

Being a nine year old girl, and having your family pin you down, spread your legs, pull down your pants then sexually assault you with a rusty can led, dirty broken piece of glass, razor blade or whatever comes to hand slicing off your cliterous, labia and other parts of your vagina, then the opening sewn up and your legs tied together till it skins over...only a little hole left for urine and menstral blood... of course this will be drippy, smelly, and very liable for all sorts of infection, not to mention crippling and bloody painful, (imagine the screaming from a little girl child) no anesthetic, then later when due to be married (no choice again who is going to **** you for life and you not allowed to go with someone you like or be killed brutally), just before remember that skinned over vagina? it gets opened with a knife ie rape by knife so future slaver husband can get his jollies...
Minus your cliterous and labias etc as you can imagine there will be zero chance of any pleasurable feeling let alone no hope whatsoever of an orgasim let alone a multi one ever, only pain and of course complications in childbirth and far higher chance of dying...

Horrified... good... thats FGM Female Genital mutilation... or female circumcision

If you think its only the odd wacko individual who does this try these figures for size ... Source Amnesty International

these figures are the whole of the female population think how many millions that is.
Egypt 97% Clitoridectomy, excision, and infibulation
Ethiopia 90%
Nigeria 50%
Somalia 98% Infibulation
Virtually all Somali women are genitally mutilated. There is no law specifically prohibiting FGM.

and thats just a few.

Who wants this done to the nine year old sisters or daughters

Also if you think the aids thing is bad try this

Isabel Ramos Rioja

Note the percentages of the population this is done to. Look up how many live there, polulation wise to get an idea of the scale of this and also which countries (ie some popular tourist spots)
