If you haven't introduced anything new into your tank recently, it was probably caused by a drop in temperature or change in the waters' levels which would stress the fish. Don't treat your tank, it will kill all your live rock and invertebrates. set up a quarantine tank and put him in there with the meds. You could also put him in a bucket of freshwater for a few minutes (until he shows signs of distress) saltwater parasites will not survive a freshwater bath. Buy a pair of cleaner wrasse or neon gobies. They will clean them off and cleaner fish are usually not eaten by other marine fish because of the service they provide.

If your dish washer is old check the inside top for corrosion? You may need to invest in a new one. If you live in a hard water city the one thing the sales people may or may not tell you is that it will continue to happen unless you buy a water softener. The manufacturer will tell you the same thing, it is not bs. If you have to get a new one just make sure you use jet dry. To clean the inside of your machine and it will clean the glasses as well, is vinager (1C). ONLY USE IT ONCE A MONTH. If you are currently using jet dry you could be using too much which causes cloudyness. Using cheap detergent will also cause it. I found that Palmolive, Sun Light, and store brands will cause that film even if you use Jet Dry. If the detergent is good, Jet Dry is the right dose, the other option is to buy Lemie Shine. This stuff is about 4.00 and is a small bottle but it works. It is enviro friendly and safe to use every day. It will get the hard water build up off of a glass that has been encrusted for 5 years. It has some great uses besides dishes and can be used on plastic and metal. FYI. Aluminum will cause a reaction with other metal if placed together in the dish washer. Check the other things before buying it to identify the specific problem. If this does not work then the problem is etching which is not reversable as they are tiny scratches in the glass. DO NOT USE BLEACH IN YOUR DISHWASHER!!!!! BLEACH PROMOTES THE GROWTH OF MOLD AND MILDEW.

ick is an illness that fish get and its contageous... you can buy drops to put in the tank to get rid of it... dont wait too long though.. the drops arent very expensive and you can get them at walmart or any pet store.... if there are more than one fish in your tank you need to watch out for the sick one as the other fish may chew off its fins to drown it.... keep a check on it and get those drops going...
