When I tried to repress it and not deal with it, I got very anxious and depressed, used drugs and booze to make the pain go away, and kind of went nutty. Then I went to God for help, and he put people in my life that helped me to cope with it. It's still very hard (and there are still whole years of my childhood blotted out, so only God knows if there's more I'll have to deal with), but I don't recommend pretending it never happened. For most of the women I knew, that tactic ate them alive inside.

I saw a Christian therapist for years and married a very wonderful man, and continued to seek God. Those things are why I recovered very well and stopped doing all the addictive stuff I was into.

God bless you on your way to recovery, it's a hard road but very worth it. I recommend the book "The Wounded Heart" by Dan Allendar - -it's very good.

On day you were did you report it? Go to the Emergency or clinic and get tested to make sure you are clear of any STD's. If you have trouble dealing with it and get depressed, get counseling.

Yeah, I was. Something I tend to do is make it like it was a dream and never really happened. So, that way it's not so real to me anymore.

Don't think about it has always been my way to cope. But thanks for bringing it the center of my attention again.
